Frequently Asked Questions

The Love in Stitches Membership is an online community made up of knitters and crocheters from around the world! We currently have 450 individuals of a variety of ages, interests, locations, and skills. Our group is predominantly women, but we welcome all genders! We do have a minimum age requirement of 18 years.

Our virtual social events take place on Zoom and vary from month to month. Typically we have 4-5 events each month with most events on weekday evenings. Love in Stitches operates on Eastern Time, even though we're technically traveling around the US. MOST events are recorded if you aren't able to come live. Past events have included interviews with designers, game nights, movie nights, themed knit/crochet nights and more. The events typically correlate to our exclusive make-alongs or member's interests.

In the past we have interviewed designer Stephen West, designer Lesley Anne Robinson, yarn dyer Whitney of Moonglow Yarn Co, designer Vincent Williams, designer Jamie of Pacific Knit Co., designer Toni Lipsey, dyer/designer Briana of The Little Wolf Knits, designer Sandra of Nomad Stitches, designer Chelsea of Knitting Tipsy, and more.

Most of our social events are on weekday evenings in US, typically starting at 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00 PM Eastern Time. The Membership runs on Eastern Time (New York Time), but we also use a Google Calendar that converts events into your time zone. Most of our social events are recorded and uploaded within 48 hours so that you can enjoy the events no matter what your schedule looks like!

Our knit/crochet groups are hosted by members from across the globe. We have three to six meeting times each day of the week with groups adjusting as we add more members. You're sure to find a group that fits your schedule! Currently, we have member-led Zooms every evening (US Time), five times per week at lunchtime (evening for our European members), and two early morning groups (evening for our Australian members).

Every term (4-month period) we have a brand new make-along just for members! We typically keep these make-alongs broad enough so that everyone can participate and we always include both knit and crochet. Some members like to pick the same pattern as other members and have a mini-make-along inside our larger make-along! Our Membership MAL's are laid back and just for fun. We'll meet at least once per month to see how everyone is progressing on their project!

This past year we had our Bottoms Up! MAL, learned all about Tapestry Crochet, brushed up our Brioche skills, created Summer Tops, played with Cozies, focused on charity making, and we're rounding out the year with our Mindful with Minis MAL.

In 2026, we'll begin our year-long Blanket Make-along, dive into spinning in January, explore Tunisian crochet in March, and have a little Festival Fun in April.

Member-led Zooms are virtual knit/crochet nights. You can join into as many as you like! We have these Zooms every day of the week at many different times. The schedule changes slightly each month to fit our members' needs. You can view our December schedule by clicking here.
